What I often do is

- check the reference manual (although the # of pages is large... but it helped me often)

- check demo.qlik.com for good examples (including QVWs to see how it worked)

Hi,

There are no books as such, or at least endorsed or supported by QlikView, other than the official courses materials and the reference manuals you can get on the download page installing Documentation and Tutorial.

However, you have here a timely updated list of blogs and other resources around the web in regards to QlikView.

I strongly recommend you to download the QlikView Cookbook by Top Contributor and QlikView Guru (he's unlikely to accept the name, so you can call him Master or Expert) Rob Wunderlich, that is updated timely as well.

There are two ebooks available from amazon. Quite basic stuff but good for an introduction.

You can download example pages to see which better fits your needs, if any.

Just got this book. Very useful

A new book available: QlikView for Enterprises - A Practitioner's Reference.

Available for purchase in Createspace eStore, Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon France, Amazon Italy, Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain, Pothi.com India and Flipkart. Foreword by Johan Averstedt of QlikTech Sweden who helped QlikTech expand in the international markets.

This is similar to Ralph Kimball's Datawarehousing book - focus more on approach, principles and design for QlikView. Beginners to Experts everyone can benefit from this book.

4. QlikView 11 for Developers - for Detailed learning and useful for Designer/Developer certification (Excellent)

However, There are many other books are available in the market for getting grip over the QlikView.

There is a 233 Page Tutorial available on Qlikview website. Its free. Its very good for beginners.

Also, Book is Qlikview 11 for developers. its medium to advanced level. You have to buy it. Its hard copy is little costly, but e version is comparatively economical, around USD 3 - 4.

Sorry Barry, I forget to mention that my manager has already order me the hard copy few days ago. I just want to have some warm-up study myself, however if you concern about copy right issue I will just wait until my hard copy arrived and I think it may have the disc of HighCould airlines data file. I am appreciate the hard work made by author. and we did pay for it. I am apologize for any behaviour that make the author feel not cool .

Just curiosity, the soft copy I think he purchased online, is still not good to share?

Okay, as a next step, you can then buy Qlikview 11 for developers. As I already mentioned, it is not very costly. Just USD 3 - 4. I am already doing that, and it explains additional features / functions / scripting / Transformation about Qlikview. Very good book, and helps you in preparing for Qlikview Certification as well.
