topic multi box button? in QlikView

multi box button?

when i made button from multi box.

if i have two dimnsions that first dimension is: CAMPAIGN='sam'

second dimension is: STATUS='eating' AND 'seating'

i made two select in fields but it doesnt work.

and if i want to write in the first dimension. CAMPAIGN NOT EQUAL 'sam' what i need to write in search string?

Hi Eran,

am not hundred % sure what you mean, but a multiple select in a multibox just press CTRL and select the other values.

In a search string I do not think it is possible to use a NOT EQUAL.

thank you but i meant how i do it in the button configaration, in the multi box i know how to do it.

button properties -> Actions -> Add actions -> Action type asSelections -> Action as Select in field

i tried do this but it doesnt work. (Value1|Value2)

Hi Eran,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I just put a button on my sheet and made a Selection via the button.

I select: action 'Select in Field', Field 'Fieldname' , Search string '(102*|103*) (do not use = in front of your string) and by clicking on the button i do receive a multiple select with the values that fullfill the conditions.

To my knowledge I cannot however do a combination of 'AND' and 'NOT' in this string.

i dont know why it doesnt work.

maybe there is problem the way i am writing this:

(Faked Details|Two Users)

when i write every single one of them this is work.

i want to succeed this one first and then to learn how to choose everyone except this two conditions.(NOT)

This works fine.
