Hi,

I am using qlikview 10 SR2.

Now I want to convert my qvw file to pdf and send it as email.

Can anyone help me on this.

you can send only table and reports not qvw files

Thanks for your reply.

But actually we can do so, may be by a third party /w like Nprinting.

But its giving me some errors thats why am unable to do.

Any other alternative may work.

You require qlikview publisher to distribute qlikview application in to pdf form thorugh mail.

you have to create pdf of chart by pdf creator . its open source and you can download it from qlik.com.

You can do this by creating a report (Report >> Edit Report) with the objects you want to show and print it to a PDF writer.

QlikView has two products to achive this.

QlikView Publisher - Let's you schedual and distribute reports/qvw's (More stuff in there aswell)
PDF Report Distribution - Allows you to convert QlikView Reports to PDFs

With the products above you would create your qlikview document as usual. Create a report that is based on your QV Objects inside the Desktop Client. Set up a distribution task in the management console. You can distribute it via e-mail or to a folder repository if you like.

how i have tables in qlikview and also i have created a file in qlikview but enable to generate report plz tell me how to generate report from qvw file(its a extension of qlikview file)

Hi,

Manisha Choudhary

The simple way i m telling u just go report -->edit report--> create new report and then simple drag and down the the qlikview data into it. and then click bottom of the page right hand side--> REPORT LIST

now click to -->report ---> export now your report is generated give any name.

but remember one thing pdf creator is installed in ur system if not then install its free.

and go to print option select---> Name :- Pdf Creator then save the setting and click to print..

your pdf is ready.

but dear i am also facing 1 problem :

The data which i am draging on the report it is not coming in correct format.

So if u know the solution of that plz mail me.
