Lease license issue

Hi All!

In my organization earlier authorization was enabled on NTFS selection, recently we moved it to DMS authorization according ton user need & the problem we are facing is that being it was on Enterprise Edition, now it automatically changed to Personal Edition , but user want it on Enterprise Edition itself, so can anyone tell how to lease license in this particular scenario.

Hi Gargi,

Personal Edition refers to QlikView Desktop, while Enterprise Edition refers to the QlikView Server. Now you will need to go to the Start page in QlikView Desktop, select Open in Server, then expand options and log in as specific user. Set the username in the form DMS\USERNAME where DMS is the name of your custom domain and username the actual user name in the custom security directory, then set your password.

The text above should change to "You are leasing a license from SERVERNAME".

Hi Miguel!

Thnx for the instant reply, I tried in the manner, after setting password its redirecting to a window 'Connect To Server' then its giving the following error :

"Connected to Server OK, No reply received Switching to HTTP tunneling Connected to server OK, Negotiations Timed Out".

Hello,

i am able to lease the license but it get unleased very soon,

problem i am getting is to lease it again and again m using 11 IR.

how can i come out of this issue????

Hi,

License lease lasts 30 days in any case, when you are offline. But if you are online, and you can reach the QlikView Server that is leasing you and you switch computers or sessions, the latest client to get to the Server will kill the other sessions and take the license assigment.

Or you have your own unlicensed Server installed in your computer, your client might be trying to get a license from it, and therefore the problem.

hi,

I Have created custom Users and enable to login through access point but when i try to lease license it gives tunnling error.. Can u please address about this issue
