Hi All,

Is it possible to export the sheet object name while sending the data to excel. When qlikview export data it doesn't export the sheet object name.Is there a way I can export the name too?Users saying that they get confuse after export as excel sheet doesn't export the name.

One more question Users want to see the paramater selected on the excel along with the data.I have added a Current select on the Interface. But not sure what can be done so that the paramaeters also be exported to excel along with the data and sheet object name.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Thanks,Pooja

Ho Pooja,

I got no real answer for your first question. Maybe using a macro (via button) to export to excel. Or as a workaround your endusers can use "export..." instead of "send to excel". When using export they are able to chosse "xls" as filetype and an according filename.

For your second questions take a look into settings --> user prefs --> export-tab. Check "selection stamps on BIFF-Export" as biff is a rarely unknown name for the excel-format.

This is valid for both ways: "export..." or "send to excel"

Regards, Roland
