Greetings All,

I am using Qlikview10 personal edition.

I would like to ask you set of queries regarding tablebox :

1- Can I add anonymous column to tablebox

2- Can I rename the the field(column) of tablebox.

3. Can I show matched, unmatched, excluded records, total records in qlikview..

Hi,

Let me tell you something about Tablebox in Qlikview.

TableBox is a place where you show the row data which you have loaded in Qlikview.

So you will not be able to do any manipulation at Tablebox.

You asked that

1- Can I add anonymous column to tablebox

Can you tell us what kind of column you would like to add? is that column coming from table which you have loaded?

2- Can I rename the the field(column) of tablebox

Yes you can rename the filed's when you display the fields in tablebox.

For this you need to click on the field and at the bottom you will find the space to give user defind labels.

3. Can I show matched, unmatched, excluded records, total records in qlikview..

As i said earlier its not possible to apply manipulation on Tablebox. For this you need to use Charts(i.e pivot table or Straight Table)

Hey Hi,

In that case you have to use a Straight table or a pivot chart.

Use all the Fields in the Dimension Tab and use '1' in the Expression Tab, After that use Show Partial Sum on the 1st Dimension.

Hi,

If you just want to know the total records of a table, then you will come to know this from

Settings -> Document Properties -> Tables

Here you will get all the information like the no. of total rows. No.of distinct rows and many more.

In this Tables tab if i check Loosly coupled checkbox for one table what will happen in backend.

Hi,

Actually I am loading data to qlikview by loading data from a txt file through edit script option.

So, how to create a straight box.

And I need to show four fields on my sheet ie: total records, matched records, unmatched records and excluded records.

I am doing data comparison between two sources and I have done that by using tableboxes. Now the business want to see it in more brief way like I have said.

Please assist me if it is possible in Qlikview.

hi,

I got to know how to create a straight box..

My task is I am fetching data from two data sources x, y.

x has x.x1, x.x2. x.x3,x.x4,x.x5. Y has y.x1, y.x3, y.x5.

Need to compare these are all columns. And have to show the matched, unmatched, total records and excluded records.

Can it be possible through Qlikview.

Hi,

You can do this way.

Create a straight table with dimension as

x.x1, y.x1 x.x3, y.x3,x.x5, y.x5

Add expression as

If(X.X1 = Y.Y1 and X.X3 = Y.Y3 and X.X5 = Y.Y5, 1,0) - Give label to this expression as Matched.

If(X.X1 = Y.Y1 and X.X3 = Y.Y3 and X.X5 = Y.Y5, 0,1) - Give label to this expression as UnMatched.

Enable the total mode.

This way you will get the total matched and total unmatched.

Can you try this.

Take x.x1,x.x2.x.x3,y.x1,y.x2.y.x3 in - Dimensions and in expresssion

=if(X.F1=Y.F1 and X.F2=Y.F2 and X.F3=Y.F3,'Matched','Unmatched') // if all column values are matched then it displays Matched otherwise UnMatched

=if(X.F1=Y.F1 or X.F2=Y.F2 or X.F3=Y.F3,'Matched','Unmatched') // if any one column value are matched then displays Matched otherwise UnMatched

Thanks..!

I have successfully done the matched and unmatched records..

There are set of fields which are not used in the report. I have to show them in excluded reports..

And need to show the total record at row level(table level) not at the field level.
