Hello,

Functions may be called from script, or triggered by actions, but they will not work in expressions.

Anyway, you can create a new button that calls to that macro and finally returns a value in a variable or something like that. Then in your expression you display that variable.

Hope that helps.

Can you show a picture in jpg ?

Some objects (buttons, charts, variables...) may have actions related to them or actions done over them. These can be checked in the Settings menu, Document Properties, Triggers. A button or a text object, for example, in their properties have an Action tab, where some of these native functions can be triggered.

futurebi wrote:b) How can I create a new button ?

Hi futurebi

You can not call macro from expression directly.

BUT you can do this:

1 set 2 varibles in qlikview

2 in sheet property , set a triger to call the macro when sheet is active

3 you should transfer varibles through a qlikview varible and update it use getValue & updateValue function in macro.
