Creating indicator field in script

I am trying to isolate instances where sales orders necessitate more than one delivery.

My table consists of deliveries of sales orders by stock item (ITEMCODE). Each Order has a unique reference (SORDREF). Each delivery has a unique reference (TR.REF). Orders and deliveries can have multiple line items (ie ITEMCODES).

I am trying to create a field indicating whether the TR.REFs is the first, second, third etc delivery for the associated SORDREF. This indicator would be present for each line item on the table.

I will then be able to use this field to filter my charts etc by first, second, third deliveries.

I assume I have to do this in script?

Any help would be appreciated.
