topic Calculation condition versus conditional display in QlikView

I've got a pretty simple question that I couldn't figure out from documentation.

In objects there is the "Show conditional" and the "Calculation condition". My question is: is it the case that when an object is not shown it is also not calculated? From the documentation this does not seem to be the case, and as a solution I could put the same condition in both boxes. I don't want to overdo things though, and logically it would make sense to me that when an object is not displayed it is also not calculated.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

When an object is hidden, it is not calculated. You can see this if you go to Sheet Properties -> Objects and review the Calc Time column. You'll notice that hidden objects have calc time of 0.

Regards.
