    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are reading data from an excel file derived from SAP which contains customer sales data that is both positive (=sales) and negative (=returns). Our problem is that the minus sign comes AFTER the value, and somehow QV doesn't regognize this - thus giving us a net sales total for the customer that doesn't take returns into account.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm confessing to being somewhat new to QV still, so my humble question is - HELP! &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your suggestion John!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We managed to get around the problem my manually applying a formula in Excel, which moved the sign from the end to the front, but I suspect your solution would be a more automated one.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
