Hello,

I am very new to qlikview personal edition, ssas project implemented and cube created, now i am going to implementing the connection of cube with qlikview but this error comes..

SQL error: Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSOLAP.4" for linked server "(null)".

OLE DB provider "MSOLAP.4" for linked server "(null)" returned message "Errors in the OLE DB provider. The data source or location is not valid. Provide a valid server to which to connect."

I AM WRITING THIS QUERY IN EDITOR..

SQL SELECT * FROM

OPENROWSET('MSOLAP.4','Server=BISRVR',

'SELECT { [Measures].[Sales Amount], [Measures].[Tax Amount] } ON COLUMNS,

{[Date].[Fiscal].[Fiscal Year].&[2002]

[Date].[Fiscal].[Fiscal Year].&[2003] } ON ROWS

FROM [Adventure Works] WHERE ( [Sales Territory].[Southwest])')

Also, it is preferred for QlikView to connect directly to the fact and dimension tables in SQL Server instead of connecting to cubes.
