      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the actual difference between the date and the timestamp function.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Both seem to be able to handle the pure dates (YYYYMMDD) and time (HHMMSS) as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use them just at random, but there has to be a reason why both were invented &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your feedback!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maarten&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
