(detach is not workin)

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks a lot!

HEy swuehl,

thanks for the fast reply.

Two question: what are alternate states?

Second: I tried set analysis in my expressions but it didn't work. I use if formulas may tht be the problem?

Thanks!

Alternate states are available since QV11.

Up to QV11, a selection in e.g. a list box will affect all objects, the only way to override this was to use a per-object set analysis expression. Using alternate states, you can 'group' your sheets / objects in a way that a selection will only affect objects in the same group. Very nice for comparisons (perspectives?)..

To say anything about your issue with the set expression or if() function, you would need to give more details, at best using a small sample app or by stating the exact expressions.

Hi ,

unfortunately I still use QV10. But I solved the problem in a different way. Just collapsed all dimensions I didn't need. Not very pretty but it suits my purpose. Kind of obvious but I somehow didn't see it before.

Thanks anyway!!
