topic ODBC in QlikView

I copied a script which was using an ODBC connection from oracle from a coworker. The connection failed so I removed the connection and tried to create the connection using my ODBC connection with the ODBC button. Ever since the original connection failure whenever I click ODBC in qlikview from the script tool, Qlikview errors and closes. I removed qlikview, rebooted and re-intalled but qlikview will always error and close when I click ODBC.

QlikView is the only application that this is happening. Has anyone seen similar behavor and how can I get back to square one?
