Hi,

Try to kep the same color scheme across an application.

You can divide your application into

1) Dashboard for Maangement where there will be able to see the over all buisness.

2) Analysis: It will be next level drill to Dashboard. for eg : If you are displaying over all sales as 10,000 in dashboard

then in Analysis show it over year/Month or top Products etc.

3) Reporting : It wil contain the transaction level data live invoice, date etc.

Further you can divide your analysis based on Product , Customer or Stores, Depending upon your line of business.

Check out the Qlikview templates or Qlikview demo applications.

Deepak

Using company colors is usually popular.. also, it might be that the stakeholders / business users have some input into what kind of palette they'd like to use?

There are no hard-and-fast rules about using color. I personally prefer to use a single background color for all sheets, usually a shade that is pleasant to the eye and not likely to clash with most colors. Most light colors work for this - light gray, light peach, dusty yellow, light cream (brown), etc. I would consider using different colors only if it was difficult to tell the different sheets apart while looking at the sheet - in that case, color-coding would help the user get context.

Insofar as using a different color for each sheet label - there's no problem with that whatsoever. I often use this as a mechanism for grouping sheets.

As mentioned in your other thread I would suggest taking a look at the demo site:

demo.qlik.com

There you have a whole range of apps with different color schemes and layout to draw inspiration from.
