Resizing bar chart in trellis container

I have a grouped bar chart with two dimensions and two expressions.

The first dimension has max 3 values. I want to create a trellis chart, so there will be max 3 charts.

However not all available space i used, the x-axis is very short while there is enough space in every quarter to make it longer.

When I try to increase the width by holding Ctrl and shift, the chart collapses and only the Y-axis remains visible.

There is no difference between setting auto or fixed columns and rows.

Discovered what I did wrong. It seems it is not possible to change an existing chart to a trellis container ?

I build the trellis from scratch. After entering the dimensions I checked the trellis option. Seems to work fine
