Qlikview for multiple customers

I want to access Qlikview Dashboard in SaaS model where multiple customers will access Qlikview Dashboard. Every customer will have separate QVD files.

Based on which user has logged in, he should only see relevant data.

Any idea how this can be achieved?

Hi,

Using Section Access Concept in Script . Its used for Every user only see the relevant data when user access the Qlikview file.

In section access, can I load different QVDs based on user access? Also please send me more details on how to implement section access.

Hi,

Please check the sample attached.

To open this use

User Name : Admin

Password: password

In this file, there are three users, one is admin and others are Normal users.

When admin is logged in he can view all the data.

When normal user logged in he can view only data related to his department.

I think the Section Access be implemented based on the role, department we can restrict the data. But it is not a good practice to load a qvd based on the logged in User.

I think it is possible or not to implement what you want.

But you can concatenate all the qvds and display data based on the logged in user.

Hi Anu,

there is no need of using separate qvd's for separate users.. As the other guys said,your query can only be handled by section access in which the user can see reports/dashboardbased upon their access.. For example the country head will be able to view all analysis from all parts/zones etc, the regional heads will be confined only to their repective regions and so on..

You can also create multiple QVW applications, each of which pulls from a separate customer QVD. Then you would control authorization to each application in AccessPoint at the user or group level.

I believe that multiple QVW will be safe because you´ll have only necessary data for each user. Mantain one qvd and publish files separate.

You can use publisher to do that.
