Expression to show monthly spend for the whole year

Hi...I need some guidance on how to create an expression to show the monthly spend for the 12 months.

Basically, I will have 12 columns showing the months. Our financial year starts at April so month 1 will be April, month 2 will may May etc.

In each column I need to show the PTD-Actual spend for that month.

I'm not sure about the syntax I need for the expression. sum(PTD-Actual)...................
