thanks for the tip. Opening without data does not work because you can no longer open the file because it is damaged.

Attached are the error messages.

Hello together,

There is the possibility to repair a damaged qvw file with appropriate tricks to get access to the script and the user interface. For this I always use the procedure as described in the article -> https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-App-Dev/Recovering-A-QlikView-Document/td-p/916032.

Now we have the case that QlikView has been saving documents in qvf format for some time. Here, too, it has happened that a document was damaged and could no longer be opened. Unfortunately, the method described above no longer works.

Is there currently a way to repair a qvf or is it only possible to use a backup?

Thanks and greetings

Hello ,

1. You can try to open the file without data- as describe in the below link.
mhttps://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-To-Open-QlikView-Application-QVW-File-Without-Loading-The/ta-p/1711885

2. Also make sure the Qlikview files and folders are excluded from active antivirus scanning .

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/QlikView-Folders-and-files-to-exclude-from-antivirus-scanning/ta-p/1713060
