Has anyone ever had a problem loading long text fields from an Oracle database?

We have a table in an Oracle 10g database with a column that is defined as varchar2 with a size of 600. Only a few of the rows have text data longer than 500 characters but when it is loaded into QlikView the text is truncated to 511 characters. I'm using Windows XP and QlikView 9.00 SR1 but I don't know if the QlikView version has anything to do with the problem.

I've successfully loaded long text strings into QlikView from an Excel spreadsheet with no problems. This truncation problem seems confined to loading from Oracle.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Can recall that there was a thread already - think that this might be a problem of the ODBC-driver (=Oracle).
