Upgraded QV but version did not update

Hi,

We've recently updated QV Sever May 2021, the installation was successful. However, the version did not update to the latest one and also we have a new service running called (QlikView Service Dispatcher).

What can we look into to get the latest version on?

And also, what is QlikView Service Dispatcher?

@KarelSoel What version of QlikView did you upgrade from? Can you show a screenshot of the QlikView server with the version?

Hi @Orlandf,

How did you determine that the QV May 2021 installation was successful but the version did not update? If you check the QMC > System > About tab, you can review the build version for each QV service. The build version for May 2021 is 12.60.20000. If you are running a clustered environment (multiple QVS/QDS) or a distributed environment (QV services split between Windows servers), then be sure that you ran the installation .exe file on every server.

Hi,

After update I see on QMC May 2021 is 12.60.20000 but when I open my reports (.qvw ) file still showing 11.20 version.

I restart the services refresh .qvw but still show old version.

You need to upgrade the desktop client, too and not only the server.

I just wanted to add that if you are using QlikView IE-plug in, you have to upgrade that too. On machines where you upgrade QlikView Desktop The plugin will also get upgraded.
