I approach for the first time the SAP connector.
I read that there are Qlikstart templates provided with the SAP connector.
anyone know if there is documentation on the contents of these Qlikstart templates?

my intention is to assess the content of these Qlikstart templates before you begin to think about new developments.

Hello Marco,

In fact, there is a short document with each template. There you can find a guide for the prerequisites, installation and population, and some script details.

I have used these templates and these are a good start, for SAP development.

I should make an estimate on the time of installation of the SAP Connector module.
in over the estimate on the time of activation of the two modules Qlikstart Template :

02-SAP-MM_LAYOUT.qvw

02_SAP-SD_LAYOUT.QVW

based on your experience how many days are needed?
I consider that a good knowledge of QlikView but it is the first time that I face these modules.

Hello Marco,

It's not easy to estimate the time without to know the particular SAP implementation. I mean, it should be some parameters and bussiness rules designed for each company.

But, the "standard" tasks shouldn't take more than 2 days:

- Configure and test the SAP connector.

- Reload the query builder model

- Configure the templates to extract the data

The data extraction depends from the data volume.

I have configured 5 standard templates and one "personalized", for a company in about 7 days.
