Can QV 10 desktop local client extract data from SAP-BW ?

Dear All,

QV10 Desktop version is installed in windowsXP system in local node and it is leasing license from QV server.

QV server can extract data from SAP-BW source. Now our requirement is to extract data from the same SAP-BW server from local QV desktop client instead of QV server. Is it possible ? If so, can any one please explain the steps should follow?

Hi,

Yes it is possible. Only thing you need to do is install the SAP drivers which you might have installed on the QV Server. Or you can install the QV SAP Connectors on the local machine and start fetching the data.

you also need to do a few transport on SAP BW server as well from which you are fetching data.

More over there are couple of application available which help you fetching cubes and data marts. you will not have to write any script. but transports on SAP server and installing SAP connector is must. Also you need to have licensed version of SAP connector
