Hi Greenee,

what Xan asked for was the original OLTP source in SAP R/3 or ERP, not in BW. This is an extractor that is BEFORE the data is in the ODS object.

Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem, but when I want to extract several millions rows from an ODS object, I would use the "Open Hub Services". the OHS are designed by SAP to handle millions of rows for using in external Data Marts (e.g. QlikView). As far as I know, there's no limitiation regarding the size.

Kind regards,

Patrick

Dear community,

we are currently evaluating several options to build a QV/SAP based DW.
How can we access the SAP ERP's OLTP datasources e.g. for logistics and sales:

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/ed/16c29a27db6e4d81a015be8673eb80/frameset.htm

It doesn't seem to work with SAP Connector.

./.

Hi Xan!

Check out the DeltaQ Component that is shipped with Xtract QV:

http://www.theobald-software.com/oe/cms/website.php?id=/en/index/products/xtractqv/deltaq.htm

This is exactly what you need to access the OLTP sources (or so called BW extractors).

QlikTech's SAP connector doesn't support to access these sources directly.

Don't hestiate to contact with any questions regarding these sources, I'm happy to assist you.

Kind regards,

Patrick
