Document Chaining, passing parameters challenge

Setting:

Two qvw documents, document#1 is analysis/insight, and document#2 is revenue tied to the calling document #1. Document#2 is Fact keyed off of rundate, Year, Month, Day

The challenge is the user has the option of filtering on 3 possible date fields:

1. postingdate(Year, Month, Day)
2. insertdate(Year, Month, Day)
3. createdate(Year, Month, Day)

Only one of which can be passed to document#2 all expecting it delivered in rundate, Year, Month, Day fields.

Without knowing which date field the user will pick (posting, insert, create) what are some thoughts to address this challenge?
