You need to tweak Client IE settings even for server QlikView deployment. However it might not work in some cases -- e.g. I faced situation when IE (both versions 8 and 9) doesn't perform correctly cross-site requests from my extension when adding an external site to the list of trusted sites. Leaving it in general Internet zone works fine.

Dear All,

do QV Extensions or the Webview in general use some sort of Cache? If so, how can I prevent QV from doing so?

If I want to start an external Program from my Extension, I have to turn of some Security Settings within IE.

Which Settings are relevant if the Extension runs on a Server? The Client's IE settings or the Server's IE settings?

Looking forward to your comments.

Schönen Gruß aus Berlin

Tim

HTTP responses (both from the QV server or webview) include the "cache-control:private" header. It instructs proxies in the path not to cache the page, but it permits browsers to cache the page.
