This will not work because qvp:// has a different communication to the in-memory data cloud than http://, which uses an intermediary, and will not be able to read fields, and field values directly from the URL. You can however change and pass variable values (variables are stored on document level).

We use Filemaker for basic article information and link to QV for more detailled info on the article in question. At the moment we link to the (ugly and less performant) AJAX client. I got to know that the same thing is possible with the qvp-protocol and started browsing the QV-community for more info. I didn't find any info on how to make selections through qvp, such as i.e. a specific articlenumber or salesrep.

The URL

qvp://xxx.xxx.x.xx/Deployed/Reporting.qvw?ARTIKELNR=6401421

opens the document, but doesn't select the article. Is it only possible to pass parameters for variables or is a selection also possible?

In general: is there a documentation on qvp?
