      <title>Cloudera Impala ODBC read failed</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;I am running a complex query from Qlikview and it fails with message - ODBC read failed.&amp;nbsp; Same query runs in couple of minutes from Impala-shell on Hadoop cluster.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Less complex Impala queries are running well from Qlikview. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Any idea how to resolve this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;I am running&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Qlikview: 11.20&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Impala:&amp;nbsp; 1.3.1-cdh5&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;ODBC: 2.5.15 downloaded from Cloudera website&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Venkat Ankam&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was wrong. On my site only the 32bit &lt;STRONG&gt;Hive ODBC&lt;/STRONG&gt; driver v2.5.5 works with Impala. You can use it for Impala with default port 21050. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Installed 32bit ODBC and ran into an issue.&amp;nbsp; My Administrator is able to see to 32Bit ODBC, But I am not able to.&amp;nbsp; I tried the option of checking "Force 32Bit"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any idea how a user on Qlikvew access a 32Bit ODBC driver? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Venkat&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;You did all right by checking Force 32bit. So, this seems to be an installation or user rights policy issue, not a QlikView issue.. You should be able to create and use a 32bit ODBC data source. You can use QlikView menu "Tools" in script editor to get to the 32bit ODBC Admin dialog.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ralf,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Finally I got this to working.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Issue was not with 32 Bit or 64 Bit ODBC driver.&amp;nbsp; Following two issues were corrected in SQL and all went fine in 64 bit and also 32 bit. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) There were two column names from&amp;nbsp; with same name. Added an alias to one column name.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) I was concatenating two columns.&amp;nbsp; Added an alias to this one as well.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Venkat Ankam&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
