QlkView Governance Dashboard showing wrong Avg Duration

Hello,

have a question about Sessions tab of the Governance Dashboard.

We need to know how much time users spend working with QlikView documents, and look like session durations are displayed wrong, for example, I was in and out of QlikView document in 1 minute and average duration for that day/document shows 31 minutes.

There are some dashboards, including Governance Dashboard shows that I was there for about 13 minutes, which is not exactly correct.

Can anyone explain how QlikView logs are generated for Session Durations?

Just to be clear, when done with the document I close out the tab and the browser.

A session log entry is logged when a session ends. The default setting for inactivity timeout is 30 minutes, so that seems to match.

A session is not closed when you close the tab/browser. You have to use the close button in the upper right corner. If you just close the browser, so the session will be open until inactive timeout is reached.
