Hi @davidlee,

You can check the release notes of the 12.60 IR and 12.60 SR1 versions for differences. The release notes are available on the Qlik download page.

My guess is that these versions are close enough that you wouldn't likely run into issues. However, to ensure a smoothly functioning environment, it is recommended that you should make every effort to ensure that the pluglin client versions are the same. If you do run into an issue and Qlik R&D is involved, they will very likely request that you ensure the versions are aligned.

Best Regards

Hi QlikView Support Team

We would like to know is there any difference of QlikView plugin version between 12.6 IR and 12.6 SR1?

Is 12.6 SR1 plugin can backward compatible for 12.6 IR or 12.6 IR one can backward compatible for 12.6 SR1?

Thank you

Regards

Hello @davidlee ,

The best practises would be to use the same version of the Internet Explore Plugin as the version of your QlikView server. Specially if it has been a fix on its the front end of the Plugin, you would not like to be in the situation your developers are using QlikView Desktop 12.6 sr1 while your end-users do use 12.60 IR and they might do see a discrepancy. Also as @Chip_Matejowsky has mentioned Qlik team will request you use aligned version in case you run into an issue and a Qlik Support case might be needed.

Cheers,
