hi to all

we are encountering this issue after we migrate our qlikview publisher + qlikview server services to a new server hardware.

error:Failed to create Qlikview Engine.. Exception=System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException(0x80080005): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID.

warning: Failed to allocate new Qlikview Engine. Retrying! Current Usage count=9 of 63 (of type non-reader)

Hello @qv_tip01,

The below error you posted is typically encountered when too many Max number of simultaneous QlikView engines for distribution is configured in the QMC due to the Windows limitation known as the Desktop Heap Size.

error:Failed to create Qlikview Engine.. Exception=System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException(0x80080005): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID.

warning: Failed to allocate new Qlikview Engine. Retrying! Current Usage count=9 of 63 (of type non-reader)

Have a look at the Qlik Support article "How many reload engines (QVB) to allow in an environment ", which details best practices for this setting and offers guidance on max number of engines you should select.

Hi all,

If you did not change the Desktop Heap Size value on your new Server you will be only able to create 8 reloads at the time. Please check the article @Chip_Matejowsky mentioned and adjust your settings as needed.
