Deleting the document cals automatically when not used for 30 days by a user.

Hi guys,

I want that document cals which i have assigned to the user should automatically get deleted if not used for 30 days.

I know we can dynamically allocate the cals but can we revoke the cals from the users dynamically if they are not using it for more than n number of days (in my case n = 30)

Hello @Manish,

I suggest that you review the Qlik License Agreement regarding the assignment/re-assignment of Named User or Document CALs. Any CAL used by an identified user may not be transferred to another user, unless the transfer is due to a change in the employment status or work duties of the prior user, in which case there is a 7 day quarantine (or 24 hour quarantine depending upon the version of QlikView) before the CAL be transferred to another user.

I don't want to transfer the license of a user to an another user.

I want to free the license and get it added to the server pool(i.e. Document CALs Not Allocated on Server).If in case a particular user has not used it for say suppose 30 days.

Kindly note that when i say license , I meant to refer to a document cal license.

@Manish,

There isn't any functionality which matches your description of removing Document CALs from users due to inactivity within QlikView. Also note that removing a license from a user who hasn't accessed QlikView in X number of days IS actually a transference of license.
