Hello,

In QV 12, the time stamps in logs were changed to use UTC format. This was a design change in the product and cannot be reverted back to the local time format of previous versions.

Hope this helps

Refer this:

http://qlikviewcookbook.com/2016/06/qv12-timestamp-parsing/

QV12 Timestamp Parsing

This parsing functionality is particularly useful now that the QlikView Server logfiles use the UTC format for times.

I’m not sure yet if I like the automatic conversion to UTC time. For example, apps like the QlikView Governance Dashboard now report Session Start or Event times in UTC time, not local time.

It’s nice that the “T” character is understood. If you want local time, it’s easy enough to drop the offset (“-0500”) as

=Timestamp(left('20160504T142523.487-0500', 19))

which returns

5/4/2016 2:25:23 PM.

Hey guys, hate to add confusion here, but one other thing to check into are some changes in the Nov '18/12.30 track regarding ICU changes related to ConvertToLocalTime and LocalTime settings. I am attaching the Release Notes doc, as there is too much to copy/paste here, but go do the Known issues and limitations section to see things, and there is a full table of time zones available in the ICU libraries at the end of the Release Notes as well. This may help too to a degree. Just wanted to be sure folks were aware there are more changes to things in Nov '18/12.30 track.

Regards,
Brett
