Triggering an Edx task through javascript

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to create a button on access point.On click of that button, an EDX task will get triggered and the Qlikview application will get reloaded

I have gone through some of these documents available in the community

but I am not still clear how it works

It would be of great help if someone can share a sample code extension for triggering an Edx task
