      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is it possible to use the dimensionality() function in a set analysis? And how?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;something like &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;sum( {&amp;lt;level = { $(=dimensionality()) }&amp;gt;} sales)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but this doesn't seem to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sets in set analysis are created 'independent' of the table they are used in.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;that is why you cannot use for example dimension values in set analysis.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And that could be the reason, why you cannot use dimensionality() in set analysis.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Kristof,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is not possible to use dimensionality() in your set expression.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is because the set is evaluated for the chart data as a whole and is not evaluated row-by-row.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dimensionality is row dependent&amp;nbsp; so cannot be used in the set expression.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can use dimensionality in an "if" statement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; for example&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; if(dimensionality() &amp;gt; 2, sum(sales))&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This post on Dimensionality may help&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="https://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-7969"&gt;How to use - Dimensionality()&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

So it has in fact nothing to do with the abilities of set analysis (though it's true that set analysis does not consider chart dimensions, but is evaluated once).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
