user configuration with qlik &windows

Dear All,

i installed qserver.

i want to create document cal.But in users tab, there is no users

i create some users in windows. fig1

and also i connected this users to qlikview administaror group in windows groups. fig2

I always connected windows as well as qmc with these users

But in Dsc(QMC) no users are there.

how the usernames appear in user tab.fig3

how to integrate the users to local directory in directory service connector?

please guide me

Hi,

you need create a local directory in your QMC for view your users

you can do it

QMC\direcory services connector\local directory

and type local://nameofyourserveur

Hi,

Have you configured the DSC settings in System tab. Expand the + sign of DSC and add the Custom directory or AD details so that you can view the User List.

Hi,

i tried this.but it shows a red astrick.fig5

in user tab wil not show the user.fig4

it is win7 and there is no active directory

Check the DSC Log for more details about the error.

Share the DSC error to understand the issue more.

please suggest a step by step procedure for active directory config

this is my dsc imgs.

Steps to configure DSC with Local Directory:

Path

To configure the path to the directory service, click on the Get Default icon, to use the default path, or enter a valid path in this text box.

Default value: local://<mycomputer>.

User Name

To configure the user name used for accessing the directory service, enter the desired credentials in this text box.

Password

To configure the password used for accessing the directory service, enter the desired credentials in this text box.

Try without providing User Name and password. It will take the QMC configured Username. as that is in Qlikview Administrator and Administrator group this should work
