Email Alerts when tasks fail not working?

Hi All,

What are the criteria's for sending an email alert when a task fail? I receive emails some times. Some times not. Several tasks are failing but don't generate any email alert. Other failing tasks are generating the email alert. Therefore my question.

We are running version 12.0.20300.0

I use a QVW that send a e-mail and the log file path o run when the main QVW is failing. Works fine to me

ok. But shouldn't the email alert send an email every time a task fail? I would like it to work the "correct" way.

yeah, You need to configure in QMC.

Under System Tab

Select Setup expand qlikview servers and select your server

on the right hand side tabs, select alerts and click on the + button to add the email addresses that receive task reload failure notifications

Thanks! I found it when I clicked on the Distribution Services folder and the settings under. For more than one email address, do we separate them with semicolons?

It didn't say anything about task failures, just "Alert E-mail to System Administrators".

Is that the right place for reload failure alerts?

It worked!! With semicolons.
