Missing document in AccessPoint

Hi all,

I have QV server and few documents.

Recently, i have created a new document.

Some of the users do NOT see the document (its not that they can't open the document, but they can't see it).

The new document is in a folder which contains another document which the users CAN see.

What am I missing?

In addition,

i have duplicated the two documents within that folder.

the users now, can see the previous document and It's duplication BUT they still can't see the new one AND can't see it's duplication

I am assuming you do not have a publisher, right ?

have you check the file security properties are the allowed are the users allowed to seem them ?

have a shared and meta file been created ? If not trying bouncing QVS

Hi Shay

It sounds like you have section access set-up in the document the users can't see. Can you confirm if this assumption is correct? Otherwise the users should be able to see the document in access point but not able to open it but if they are not in the section access table they will not see the document. Can you see and open the affected document?

The first thing i would check is the permissions on the problem files themselves.

nope. no Publisher

shared and meta files have been created

QVS bounced

by "file security properties" you mean - at the document properties->Security?

the user which cant see the document - is IN the section access.

even, if not - he should have still see the link but should not be able to open it...

Yes I meant at the document property level

Since I just read that you do have section access, have you tried reloading the file ?

the situation is like this:

I lead a team of several QV developers.

one of them handled the last document develop.

it seems that indeed she forgot to reload the document before she saved it...

the reload i just performed (knew that it releases the section access from the document) according to your suggestion solved the issue...

Glad it worked, I have also seen that same scenario happen with my team, and that was the first thing that crossed my mind when I read that the document had section accessed
