How to Move the QMC Service to a new Server

I have a Qlikview setup where I have the Qlikview Server and Qlikview Publisher on different machines.

Currently, the setup is:

Machine 1:

QV Server Service

QV Webserver Service

QV Management Service

Machine 2:

QV Distribution Service

QV Directory Service Connector Service

I have read that it is best to have the QV Management service on the same machine as the Distribution service. So, I want to move the QV Management service to Machine 2.

My question is, how do I do this without having to go through the setup of the QMC again.

AFAIK, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Stop the QMS service on Machine 1
Install the QMS service on Machine 2
Before starting the new QMS service on Machine 2, make a copy of the Machine 1 QVPR and drop it on top of the QVPR of Machine 2. It should overwrite everything.
Start the QMS on Machine 2
Open QMC on Machine 2 and check every setting for correctness.

Of course, make backups of all files and folders that will be overwritten.

[Edit] This will work if neither machine gets a new hostname.

The QVPR is the repository where all the schedules and settings for the QMC are stored. Usually found in:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR
