QlikView Desktop Client - Modifying the Setting INI file

Hi Guys,

We wish to roll out the QlikView Desktop to all users in our company. I was wondering if there was any way to configure the Settings.ini file when installing the QlikView Desktop Client? We wish to modify several lines of code in the ini file and roll that version out to over 100 users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for the reply. I've checked those links and the second post definitely seems to be what we are trying to do. But before we go down the logon script or NINI way I was wondering if you knew if Qlik had any tool or method to configure the settings.ini file while installing the package?

Hi Hirish,

Thanks very much for the above response.

I had a chat with the our technicians and the issue lies in the Settings.ini file being a user only file.

When they package the QlikView MSI installer to be deployed via SSCOM, they want to be able to configure the settings(settings.ini) while installing the package rather than creating a script to update this post installation.

Do you know if this is possible?
