Display a Note/Message while the App is opened in Access Point

Hi All,

Is there any way , when an App is launched in Report Center and before it opens up fully, it should show a Note/Message over the white blank page, not to confuse the Users?

Some of the Apps take 1-2 mins to get fully opened up. Before that, if any Note/Message like "Please wait, the app is getting loaded", could be displayed, that would be meaningful to the users.

Please help!

Hi Mohanty,

You can display a message in picture format like below. I haven't tested in access point. Let me know whether it's working for you or not.

Document Properties - > opening tab - > Select image option - > Browse for the image - > Choose any one of the option ( Close mouse on click or Close after 60 seconds )

Note: You can use some online sites to create a picture.

Not sure this works in access point,but we have some options in

Settings->Document Properties->Opening -> Image group box.

Thanks for suggestions.

I have tried this. But in the Access Point it is not coming. Before the app is fully loaded, still the white blank page is coming and the image/note is not displayed.

Any other help please?

The splash screen only works if you are opening via the QV Desktop. I don't think there is any way to get a splash screen in the access point, short of hacking the access point HTML (not recommended, and not supported by Qlik).

Try like this :

1.Create a text object with image or the text as per your requirement

2. Set a variable to manage the show or hide of the text object

3. On open using triggers set the variable value to 1 so that the text object will appear

4. On click of the text object set the action to set variable value to 0 so that it will get disappear

Like this you can achieve the welcome message or images

Hacking the AccessPoint code itself is, as Jonthan already suggested, the only way you can make such a warning work. For a seasoned javascript programmer, that shouldn't be a big deal, as there is an animation already in the top right corner that displays "Loading..." as long as the document isn't ready.

On the other hand, you will be in for a renewed application of all modifications each time you update your QlikView server.
