move Publisher to a new server

Hi,

QlikView Server with publisher is installed on server 1.

I need to move publisher to a new server (server2). So I made a new installation of QlikView server on Server 2 and check only "Reload/Distribution Service".

In server 1, I changed the url of the Distribution Service in the QMC (Server 1) to the new URL and stop QDS service.

I specifiy I can open url in a navigator window from server 1.

The 2 servers were restarted and services too.

But, QDS service still down in the QMC (Server1).

is anyone can help me ?

I found the solution : the account of the QlikView Service on Server 2 was not member of Qlikview Administrator group.

Hi Fabrice, a question based on your experience: How did you manage the Distribution Service folder paths where the QVWs are located? (System > Setup > Distribution Services > General)

When you started, I assume that they were located on Server1.

Did you move the folders to Server2 so that the path remained the same?

Or did you just update the folder path to point to Server1?
