Qlikview Test Server CALs

Hi All,

Quick question,

if i get the Qlivkiew server test license linked with the production server, that means that i will have the same amount of licenses as in production. Can i do different licenses assignments on PROD and Test server or assignments done on PROD go directly to TEST?

ex. User A has doc CAL in Prod but not in TEST.

Hi George,

Test licenses and Production server license are different. You cannot get the same number of licenses as in production to Test.

Hi,

Both are different environments, so you have to provide license separately in both the servers to the users. I think the Test server is 50% of cost of Prod, also you will get the same number of licenses in both the servers.

Hi,

I was confused with Sandbox server with Test Server.

Jagan is right, Test and Prod servers are different environments. Please assign named CALs, Document CALs seperately in Test and Prod Server.

Server Cost, Publisher Cost

Prod Server 100%, 100%

Test Server 50%, 100%

Hi,

If your Qlikview sytem is medium/small - I suggest you go use PROD server as DEV,UAT as well.

We need to manage folder structure carefully.

So that no need to buy license. It will be very much economical as per cost and maintenance wise.
