Difference between MSQ and Standard

Hi All,

Can any one give clear definition between MSQ and Standard.

While loading the delimeter files we have an dropdown box called "Quoting" . In that we have two options "MSQ" and "Standard". I want to know the difference between those can anyone explain please.

I have one million records of txt file with "~" delimeted while loading if i select "MSQ" it loaded half of the records else i select "Standard" it loaaded allthe records .

Hi,

For me, MSQ or Standard are used to say if exist identificator for the text in your file.

But what's your problem finaly ? It's not working with standard ?

Hi,

reading of the manual of Qlik , msq indicates that the style of quotation marks is taken
modern. This only applies for files of type txt

Usually i never use msq because i have same your problem
