EDX task from AJAX without Publisher

What's the best way to trigger a reload task with EDX from AJAX. I am able to launch a batch file from a button from the desktop client but I get an access is denied message when trying through the AJAX client.

I am using QlikView 11.2 SR9 WITHOUT publisher.

I assume you mean the QDS ID? Where do you pass the QDS ID? Do you write it in the batch file?

I did use that document a few years ago, and it worked fine. I had Publisher. The document says it's OK without Publisher. I have all reasons to believe
