What could be the reason for Big Cross and a Refresh Sign on a List box.

When I try to refresh it by hiting the tiny refresh sign it forces QVW application to close

may be ur out of memory. Have you chechked this?

Also this could be because the application is getting an error, like not able to find teh file or field.

Then that's the problem. Try pre-aggregating your data to optimize memory usage

What do you mean how do you aggregate date? Those are basic concepts if you are working in BI. By aggregating data I mean, let's suppose you have the following fact table:

Month Sales

Jan 100

Jan 150

Feb 60

Feb 65

Feb 100

Mar 78

So, instead of loading the table as it is, you can aggregate the data before loading it to Qlik so it looks like this:

Month Sales

Jan 250

Feb 125

Mar 78
