What do you mean by read only access on QMC?

Is it like you don't want a user to modify task or users? if yes, then that's not possible.

Hi Ashfaq,

Thanks for your response. As for as I know QMC is an administrative tool and only for administrators. To gain access to QMC we need to get an user added into the server group of "Qlikview administrator".

But recently we have received an request from our customer to provide read only access to this QMC. I am not sure of this concept to exist.

So, if you can confirm/ share you ideas on this regard would be great.

Hi,

This is not possible.

We can either give full access or no acess only.

There is nothing like read only.

There is no such document available.

AFAIK this is not possible.

may be Bill Britt from qlik can confirm the same.

There is not a read-only role for the QMC dialogs. However, much of the information in the QMC can be viewed in other ways. If you can identify what type of information you client is looking for, I may have some suggestions. Are they looking to view task status?

Yes Rob!

I am very interested in giving users(developers) ability to view task status.

This will help developers to initiate their task in a proper time slot, avoid server resource issue.

How can you restrict user to view QMC task and also run them if they require. However no ability to edit or configure new task.
