Then, I right click on a table and click on "send to excel". Another Internet explorer tab opens up and then I get the "HTTP 404 error page not found".

What can I do ?

Thank you for your help

Because in another company I worked for, an excel file (.xls) was created even if there wasn't excel.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

To start you do not need excel or a license for excel on the QVS server. Are you seeing any errors when you are trying to export the file? The excel files should be created in the default location of c:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Temp and you should be able to see them there.

Is the QVS setup Cluster?

Bill

Thanks! I was experiencing a similar issue: when I clicked the XL button on a table, it would act like it would export to Excel, but if I had another Excel document already open, it would not appear. It was technically open because I could CTRL-F4 and close the document to return to the active Excel file, but it acted like Excel was disabled. Installing the plug-in fixed the issue!
