Hi All,

We have a requirement from one of our client regarding the user management.

They DO NOT want to manage individual users in the management console, Instead they want to create a domain user group then

add the domain user group to QlikView Server management console under Licenses --> Server --> CALs --> Assigned CALs.

Their expectation is that any user in the Domain Group will get access to QlikView and they do not need to manage inside QlikView.

Any suggestions or alternate solution?

Thanks in Advance,

A.Paul

Hi,

No you can't allocate CALs for a domain or a sub domian since it's for a particular user. Those are User CALs and User has to be defined.

BR,

Dinu1

Hi,

You could do this will some type of SSO and have it setup to only pass authentication to Qlik to only those people in the group. Then have Qlik setup for Dynamic CAL assignment.

You can also look at restricting user coming into IIS.

active directory - Restrict access to IIS site to an AD Group - Server Fault

Bill
