How to trigger a Qlik View task based on a external trigger? Is there any document avilable with the steps for this?

Hi,

In my project have a requirement to trigger my QV tasks after the completion of my Informatica ETLs loads. Is there any way that we can do this? Is there any document whihc is telling how to do this. Any help is very much appriciated.

The technology you will want to use is EDX. If you search for QlikView EDX you should find plenty of references. You will want to download a .exe file that makes the EDX call to trigger tasks.

One way you can try loading qlikview on aparticular interval say 1hr ,2hr etc.

second way you can identfy date modified store into qvd

and check it with data base then only continue your load else

exit script

third way if you have any batch file or external program you can schedule your app dependent on that.
